I’ve always been drawn to the water (after all, I am an aquarian!) and my 5-year-old has an insatiable appetite for swimming and being in the water.  I love being underwater – the silence, the stillness, the weightlessness.  After taking the bar exam and before I started working, I traveled to Tulum, Mexico with a…

Wow, just wow! I’m a hobbyist photographer in Orlando, and I enjoy browsing what other photographers in the area are doing. I’ve never really considered underwater photography, but these images might just change my mind. Beautiful work!

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you’ve imagined. — Henry David Thoreau Writing this post is surreal. I have imagined it for quite some time, often wondering if it would ever come true. And here I sit, with a light heart floating on contentment as thick as fog. Being exactly…

This is wonderful Becky! So happy for you!
I was just reading this weekend a post from John Tesh, the musician. He said that he interviewed people between 80 – 100 years old and asked them what their biggest regret is life was. He said their response was that they did NOT take risks, or big enough risks. I am proud of you for taking your risk! The toughest part is figuring out what the risk is or should be, our purpose in life! You have done both! Congratulations! Love, Aunt Judy (January 9, 2012)

I have only had the pleasure of knowing you through you photographing my son, and my family, but beyond that there has always been this thing about you. In the few times I’ve been around you, I always have a sense of calm. I am able to let go of being a control freak because I trust that you know what you’re doing. I allowed myself to be emotional when id normally be painfully reserved. I have admired you, and your work from afar probably a little more than I’d care to admit.
I am so so proud of you for finding yourself and knowing what you want to do. Regardless of how long it took you to figure it out, you’ve done it.
Your son will grow to know what it’s like to strive and achieve because of the mother that he has. He is very lucky.

My friend, Leslie, sent me your blog in response to a big professional change in my life. I will definitely thank her for sending it and I definitely thank you for writing it! You have re-inspired and invigorated my soul. Your words reminded me again why I took such a big risk. Life is meant to be lived. Fear is so debilitating and, you are so right, as a mother it’s not to be admired. My children need to see me soar because that will give them “permission” to soar, too.

Beck~ Its been too long since I’ve been in contact with you. I recently had a new look at FaceBook and have been looking at photos of my friends. I followed this trail to find your recent photography/art and stumbled upon this blog and I’m so glad I did. I love your words and do you know, I so completely understand?!??!! I too, struggle with my two very different sides of my personality and two carries. In my one role, my title is actually an “Analyst” but I also have my aromatherapy business, my creative side that I’ve been doing for 6 years now. I love it but don’t think I could ever pay the bills with it-its not what I got my MA in, if you know what I mean. I love and am inspired by your awesome choice that allows you to fulfill both sides of your personality. The photos here fully match the experience, so gorgeous and ethereal. I commented on the link for Baby E’s photos and really, Beck, WOW! Amazing! Needless to say I wish I could fly you here to take some newborn photos of Aurora for us. Incidentally, we are coming to the States in July/Aug so maybe will have to make that happen anyway…Just wanted to say destiny led me to this blog of yours and it “fluffed my aura” just as it was meant to. So lovely to hear you are well and please know I love you heaps. Congratulations, lovely. Peace, Darcy xxx

Thank you so much for sharing. Your words really touched me. I have my very first photo shoot tomorrow of people other than my kids and I am terrified and excited all at the same time. You have given me confidence to move forward and reach for my goals no matter how scary or risky they seem. Beautiful pics too!!!!

Finally, FINALLY, I am SO pancake flippin excited to share this project with you and offer it as a product to my clients!!  I had this idea about a year ago now and kind of mulled on it for a while, trying to figure out logistics and presentation.  I tried it out a couple times…
